I walked in the room, i saw you there
Saw your eyes and your blonde hair
i thought to myself "now hes orrite"
"decent looks and a decent height"
You came over and said hello
i thought your name was one i did know
A few minutes later it occured to me
that i'd heard of you from my friend jenny
I was like "wow, isn't that strange"
You said "it's a small world and these things do arrange"
we talked with each other and flirting was done
on both of our parts but i think that i won
i tried not to be obvious and forward and such
but these feelings were strong, i did know that much
but i behaved well and everyone thought
that we were just friends, of a new found sort
we said goodbye brief, like a second hand thought
but i'd planned it well not to seem the chasing sort
ill see you tomorrow but then after that
the next time we meet is an unknown fact
so ill keep my mouth shut and my heart closed too
because i dont think it's safe to get close to you
its going to be hard, but it must be done
so to you you i will say-"goodbye, it's been fun"
then we'll both go our own separate ways
who knows, maybe fate will bring us together again
but ill keep in my head, the memory of tonight
when i fell for you at the very first sight.
