Where is life when it's flown away?
Through different shades of grey
Carried off by the winds
Flown off from the heart to hell.
In sharp shards of a broken bell
There is no echo to which I can sleep
All that remains is a thought
Transmitting in bursts of line and dot.
Letters from heart to ink wilt
It's a strange thing to say, but not to write
This feeling of absence burns deep in light
In reverie, she haunts the mind like guilt
She won't see the things I've done
Roses across the stars above our heads
Where love blooms in every flame
Lovely siren, answer to your name.
While she's away to a place unknown
I'll find a place to call my own
A place rich in love, a place called home
While she's away to a place unknown
And those last lines spoken
I'll hold them dear to my heart
An echo to my sorrows, there is a light
They'll play forever on a cold lonely night.
Where is life when it's flown away?
Through different shades of grey
Carried off by the winds
I'll make it through, I'll be okay.
