His face I know quite well
His eyes they tell no truth
A heart in pain does swell
A love known as our youth

A body, cold and bare
Each word a violent stab
A life lived without care
I grip, struggling to grab

Tears of love & pain
We slowly start to fall
So much to lose and gain
Because of shame, we crawl

His body lies against my own
His body rests beside another
A web of betrayal that I condone
A seed of truth we kill and smother

Has his tender touch gone far?
This aching pain that seems to dwell
Forever will I bare this scar
His heart becomes my prison cell
