Walking hand in hand smiling,
As the stars scatter the night skies.
Everything was perfect,
Yet sadness lingered in ones eyes.
The smile started to disappear from my face.
I saw concern when I looked at you, but what from?
I was becoming scared, as my body trembled.
Soon I felt my emotions and body go numb.
I turned to face you,
Stopped you in your tracks.
"I don't think we'll work anymore..
There's something we both lack."
"W-Why not hun? Please.. Please..
Tell me this is a cruel heartless joke."
Tears start streaming down my face,
Throat tightens. I get a feeling like I will choke.
"This is hard for me too
But we must find happiness on our own.
We can't depend on others for it,
This is something we have to do alone."
"What the hell do you mean on our own?
Others are what bring the happiness to you.
I can't do it on my own, and you can't either.
I will cry forever because I know this love wasn't true."
"You must find happiness on your own,
You can't always depend on me."
"Then I guess I am screwed because I need you."
Now I walk alway crying my last tear for you to see.

The odd numbered stanzas were completed by me.
The even numbered stanzas were completed by Amber.
The last stanza was a combined effort. I did the first 2 lines and Amber did the last two lines.
