Lullilies
A child on the corner
looking for little Jack Horner
the supplier for today
whisking his dreams away
Mary had a little lamb
but Uncle John didn't give a damn
as he tore into her hymen
oblivious to his kin
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall
atop the bathroom stall
a major hangout for school kids
comparing their sneakers and lids
Mother Goose tried teaching the class
but a 10 year old wasted her ass
killing everyone including himself
dusty schoolbooks on the shelf
playgrounds remain bare
besides the tortoise and the hare
continuing their life long race
only to end up in the same place
while adults laugh and joke
taking another toke
drink up and be merry
so sayeth the tooth fairy.

This poem is like life, simple, yet deeply disturbing
(Lullalies, is word play)
