Our laughter split the smoke
coming off the wood we trudged for
then danced and spun itself back together
into the scent we choke on but love to remember
the lakes reflection of sillouhettes and stars
was enough to remind us of that
feeling refreshed by a natural member
of the world they claim to grasp
is never forgotten but always remembered
and repeated again until our bones can't bend and
our muscles can't stretch
because everything else serves as a sheltered outlet
so i gathered all the roses here and arranged them in a circle
resembling the ties between all of us
stood up, stepped back
as my breath was taken by the meer fact
brushed onto sandy paper
and showing the deepest meaning
without the notion of intervening
