As tumultuous clouds fill the sky with grey
She realises the storm is on its way
She pulls the covers up under her chin
As she knows that the horrors about to begin
A cold draught sweeps in under the door
And sneaks its way through the cracks in the floor
She hears the first sound of rain starting to drop
An sends up a prayer for it all to soon stop
Heavier and heavier it pelts to the ground
It's deafening "pit-pat" the only sound...
Until a burst of thunder splits open the sky
She jumps in fright and lets out a shrill cry
Through her window she sees a dagger of light
Reaching for a victim who's out of her sight
Her lights start to flicker and then slowly they dim
Shes plunged into a pool of black-in which she cant swim
She hugs her knees to her chest and shuts her eyes tight
But the storm has stolen her sleep tonight
