Intriguing shells
Misshapen rocks
Independently found
Along the shore line
Water creeps along
Closer to my toes
Anticipating the shock
Ocean water brings
Awakening my senses
White foam on waters edge
Is left upon my feet
As the water flows away
Moonlight beams off the ocean
Highlighting the depth of power
Sounds drown my ear
Of raging waters
Along with the occasional bird
Though sound is distanced
Light breeze
Crawls across my skin
Carrying the distinct smell of sea
Gaze at the horizon
How distant and unknown
The sun escapes from below
Shining across the waters
Making its way to me
Body captures the warmth
Of its delicate rays
Its time to go home
Only to come back again
the very next day
