I was once mighty and strong
Had thousands of fellow friends
We held the world together
But alas! Now they are long gone
I can only see masses of naked fields
They stripped them all, you see
How could they be so cruel?
It won't be long before they come for me
Very soon I will die too
But my death will come slow
They will torture me first
Chop off my arms before they bring me down
My cries, I know nobody will heed
If only I was born different
It saddens me deeply to be snatched of my life
I thought I served you all well
Wonder how it will be when I go?
Will you tell your children how sweet the air was?
The breath of life that your parents inhaled
And in which you grew
You will miss me I know, but it will be too late
