We respected each other
We clicked together.
Notice how in every line
In every line I used the word "were".
Now we're PAST TENSE
The word "we" doesn't exist any longer.
I learned people do change.
Things do change.
I accepted that
I put up with it.
It's sad how I lost myself
And it's sad how I lost you along the way.
I thought this one was different.
I never saw my heart breaking.
You promised me you would never hurt me.
So I guess this was accidental huh?
You said you just made a choice.
And you chose to break my heart.
