The trumpets wail
And the choir chants
The crowd mourns
And the family cries
The midnight black box
Carried by sobbing friends
The weight of the coffin
Presses onto their shoulders
Most will let go
And walk away in silence
Will you hold on
And wish you had done more?
I stand in the crowd
Watching my corpse pass by
Carried by those i loved
Many a time i saw this
Put the blade to my throat
The gas to my mouth
Your scream echoes from the crowd
I turn to see your tears
I no longer hear your scream
No longer care for your tears
In my coffin my ears don't work
And my eyes don't see
And reborn, i no longer care
Always you mocked me
Lead me to false hope
Watched me fall
Watched me cry
Watched me as i pain
I told you I'd love you
Until the day i die
That day has finally come
But i stand behind you, alive
You were everything i lived for
So losing you meant losing me
But its a loss i wont mourn
And one i hope you do
As i rebuild my life
I hope you look back on mine
As i repair the damage you caused
I hope you see the scars you've left
I no longer love you
So you'll now love me
But to stop my love
I stopped my heart
I walk away from my funeral
To the crowd of smiling people
I put my arm around another girl
Tell her i love her
And leave

Maybe next time
With someone else
You'll save their life
The way you failed to do so with mine
How much could i really have meant to you
How much could you really have cared
When your funeral comes
You wont stand there watching
But i will
