Blankets rapped around me,
as I kick them all off the bed.
Sweat is poring down my face,
I rather lay here cold instead.

I may be here in my bedroom,
but know I'll be singing for you.
I may be all alone in this day,
but I'm thinking thoughts true.

I may be on stage with eyes,
many eyes that stare at me.
But know I'll be singing for you,
and even if it is you I can't see.

I may be lost in my dreams,
take me away from what's real.
Still know I'll be singing for you,
and that's what they can't steel.

I may be beneath your feet,
But know I'll be singing for you.
Listen close withing the wind,
and you will feel my love true.
