'Twas silent and dark
The Sagawitch came
She beckoned to seven she chose
They followed her into
An underground cave
Where the cries of the damned broke the walls
Deeper and deeper the tunnels did lead
Far under the surface they went
Lighting their way with torches of clay
Their breathing so shallow and bent
And finally they reached
The deepest of them all
Vhansu turned to those she had chosen
Two humans, a hurthling, a pet baby dragon
A dark elf, a ghost and a fairy
"Come," said the Sagawitch,
"Come let us dine."
A feast of small creatures they had
The dark elf and humans hunted the rats
And roasted them 'til they were fat
And so began, the tale of Vhansu
The beginning of the great end
Her old tired soul
Did smile at the world
And she did explain to her friends
"Once, when this world was created," she said,
"A creature did try to destroy it.
It fought long and hard, against the Creator
But fled when its fear soon took over.
"It made a new world, and named it Hell.
All manner of evil was there.
Demons and liches, hate-filled monstrosities,
All came to being in Hell.
"You have been told," the Sagawitch said,
"That God made Heaven and Hell.
Yet thee is mistaken, for God is long dead,
And no one lives there in his spell.
"Aeons past then, when Hell was created,
The creature did call itself Satan
It sent it single most powerful creation
To our world to destroy our nation."
"We called it the serpentino. It wiped us all out,"
The ghost suddenly spoke out aloud.
Vhansu looked at it in great surprise, then
Beckoned for it to continue.
The ghost whispered, "The serpentine came for us all.
Hellfire rained from the sky.
Nobody lived save the dinosaurs' kind
And soon they too were doomed to die."
Vhansu continued: "Satan's victory.
He was ready to take over our world.
A portal in space appeared in the sky
Hell's minions came through to attack
"Yet something went wrong. The serpentino evolved
To something much greater than God.
It lost all control, destroyed all Hell's creatures
And closed up the portal instead.
"As Satan looked on, amazed at all this,
The serpentino went even further.
Hellfire rained down from its body again
And Satan was destroyed forever.
"After everything was nothing but death
The monster seemed to go mad.
It vanished into space, without a trace
This world was forgotten and burned.
"Billions of years have passed since then.
But one day it shall return again."
The Sagawitch stood, her face afraid
"That day is coming closer to now."
Around, her companions' faces were deep
The humans and fairy said they would fight
The dark elf and hurthling were fearful of death
The ghost just smiled like the night
They promised to help, all of them did
For when the evil came again
When all came to arms, and war and blood
Their hearts would be true
Their blood would be one
And the coming battle had just begun
