Why am I sad, I need to know why,
it's not like I ever told a lie.
Why am I sad, somtimes I wonder,
it seems my life is filled with thunder.
Why am I sad, what is my fate,
I walk through a path that's narrow and straight.
Why am I sad, did I do something wrong,
will my true love ever come along?
Why am I sad, my emotions run high,
sometimes I want an easy reply.
Why am I sad, I am still young,
I am so glad that I have my lungs.
Why am I sad, will I ever know,
sometimes I wish I had enough dough.
Why am I sad, how long will my pain last,
maybe it's because my life is too fast.
Why am I sad, I just want to be happy,
It's time I do something so I don't feel crappie.
