She walks down the road,
Wondering how it got this far.
Debating whether to end it,
Step in front of a car.
The first time that they met,
It felt like instant love.
Until they started to fight,
After he gave a forceful shove.
He kept on beating, beating.
Even when she pleaded to stop.
He then took her outside,
And beat her with a rock.
Threatening to kill their daughter,
She dared not tell a soul.
Instead, she locked her heart away,
Somewhere abandoned and cold.
Walking down the road,
She thinks back to happy days.
She felt a tear trickle down her cheek,
As it began to slightly rain.
She passed a department store,
Where the windows were mirrors.
For the first time in her life,
The reflection wasn't clear.
The girl looking back,
Seemed unhappy and abused.
Thinking that couldn't be her,
Left her there, confused.
She walked up to the store,
And looked into the eyes.
Of the girl peering back at her,
And found a million lies.
A lie she knew too well,
Pretending to love the devil.
She instantly started to weep,
Inside, she felt disheveled.
A lie she couldn't see,
But felt it in her heart.
She knew this would come,
Her daughter, ripped apart.
Why did it take so long,
To realize the truth?
She's way better off,
Than her daughter of a goof.

She told her mommy once,
But mommy refused to hear.
Her daddy took her innocence,
And replaced it all with fear.
He touched in certain places,
Rubbed against the wall.
And when she tried to scream,
Hit her till she'd fall.
Now her mommy sees,
But fear for it's too late.
And scared that if she tells,
She'll put her daughter's life at stake.
So she goes and gets the kid,
Then immediately police.
But when they arrive home,
The daddy quickly flees.
Even under protection,
Mommy knows the fate.
Of her and her daughter,
She put their lives at stake.
Playing a deathly game,
Hoping she would win.
But coming out a lozer,
It's time to play again.
They move to beautiful Utah,
And change they're entire look.
For fourteen beautiful years,
They've been living by a fairytell book.
