by She knows it will kill her but shes okay with that

This might one day kill me,
But I guess that that's okay,
This is the one sweet drug,
Helping me survive a bad day.

It doesn't hurt me anymore,
I'm addicted to what I feel,
Fallen in love with this sin,
It reminds me of what is real.

Adoring the silver blade,
Watching the red seep,
And even though I want to,
I never go too deep.

It opens up my heart,
Allowing the words I couldn't say,
To appear forever on my arm,
Unable to ever go away.

It's a dangerous emotion-
This bitter, joyous hate.
Yet it keeps me within the lines,
Pulling me back before it's too late.

If you see something in my eyes,
Which you want to understand,
I've probably written it out already,
Amongst the scars above my hand.

I don't tell you how I'm feeling,
I wear secrets under my sleeve.
Strong enough to pray for it,
But too weak to actually leave.

As much as my blade helps,
I'm worn thin down to my core,
And to be completely honest,
I probably can't take much more.
