Mindless chatter melds with bells
laughter coats the room, comforting all.
Snowflakes and eggnog,
Stockings slung; spilling oranges, peanuts, and cards.
Hot buttered rum warms me from within,
Lulls me to a sleepy stupor,
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
