I felt like trying to write a poem in Japanese (My English translation for each line on the side in parenthesis). If you spot any problems in the translation or grammar of the Japanese, please let me know so I can improve. I was trying to write it for my girlfriend and I was trying to write a sonnet with my limited (4 semesters) knowledge of Japanese... what do you think? I may put a Kanji copy up once I have a friend look over it and see how it looks.

Like every fairytale, we begin with "Once upon a time," but we're not so sure of the ending yet. This could end in tragedy or a "Happily Ever After."
Our history together may go back a long time, but I want to forget that. I think we should just start over. Happy beginnings come only at sad endings, but since we show no emotion to eachother at all, we won't have to worry about that, do we?
For me, the fairytale ending would be to end with you. I can see all your flaws and imperfections, I know them very well, and I can understand why my friends hate you.
The weird things is, is that above all this, I've missed you. I haven't seen you in almost two weeks, and I miss you, for the first time in a long time. I just told that other guy goodbye, but when I think of telling you goodbye, I can't even play it in my head. It would be impossible.
